On behalf of the 56,000 members of the New York State Association of REALTORS, today I express our sincere gratitude to the 28 US House of Representatives members from New York for their vision and leadership in addressing the continued recovery of our housing industry and, ultimately, our economy.

ActiveKEY and SupraNET Compatibility with Windows 7

Windows 7 is now widely available for purchase as an upgrade or on newly purchased systems.

Most real estate agents live within acceptable cell coverage, so their ActiveKEYs update automatically. These agents will not be impacted by Windows 7.

The remainder of agents update their ActiveKEYs using their PC. These agents should be advised that they will not be able to update their ActiveKEY on a PC with the 64-bit version of the Windows 7 Operating System.

Homebuyer Tax Credit is Working, see News Story!

If you needed proof the first-time homebuyer tax credit is working, the New York State Association of Realtors says look at the numbers.

In comparing existing single-family homes sold in the second quarter of 2009 to homes sold in the third quarter, every single county in central New York saw a significant increase in sales.

Tax Credit Extension and Expansion

The United States Senate is expected to vote, later today, on a bill to extend Unemployment Insurance benefits. This bill will contain the Dodd - Lieberman - Isakson Amendment to Extend and Expand the $8,000 First Time Homebuyer Tax Credit.

The Extended and Expanded Tax Credit will contain the following provisions:
