Two major events in May GSAR is sponsoring to bring exposure to Member's open houses. The first is Syracuse City Living: A Homes & Neighborhood Expo, which will take place noon to 3 p.m. May 3 at Lincoln Middle School, on James Street. This free annual event,  provides exhibits and workshops on all aspects of home buying, along with same-day open houses in city neighborhoods. If you have a listing in this neighbrood make sure you post your open house on cnyrealtor.com at least a week before the event.

The second is the 2008 Downtown Living Tour Saturday, May 17th from noon to 6 p.m. GSAR Members are invited to volunteer and hand out your business cards or host to your own open house on the tour!

Sponsored by the Greater Syracuse Association of REALTORS and Presented by the Downtown Committee of Syracuse, the tour features 12 stops showcasing a variety of residential units - from luxury apartments to "green" condo's to live/work space designed for artists and entrepreneurs.  See why downtown is Central New York’s fastest growing neighborhood!  The tour provides a great opportunity to experience the "urban lifestyle" and will appeal to a broad range of Central New Yorkers interested in development, interior design, architecture and historic preservation.

Post your open house for the day of the event on www.cnyrealtor.com before April 19th for your listing to show on the Downtown Living Tour map for free - courtesy of GSAR! Organizers of the event are also looking for volunteers to serve two-hour shifts the day of the tour for registration and to oversee tour stops.  Volunteers will receive a free pass for the tour to take advantage of the event once your shift is over.  If you are interested, please contact Merike Treier at  mtreier@downtownSyracuse.com by April 18, 2008.
