If you are looking to move into the City of Syracuse there are two wonderful events sponsored by the Greater Syracuse Association of REALTORS planned for this May. Both explore real estate and housing opportunities available in Syracuse for those looking for an urban and metro lifestlye.

The first is Syracuse City Living: A Homes & Neighborhood Expo, which will take place noon to 3 p.m. May 3 at Lincoln Middle School, on James Street. This free annual event, sponsored by Home HeadQuarters, provides exhibits and workshops on all aspects of home buying, along with same-day open houses in city neighborhoods. Real estate companies, mortgage lenders, neighborhood groups and others who wish to exhibit should call Home HeadQuarters at 474-1939, ext. 249.

The other event is the 2008 Downtown Living Tour, scheduled for noon to 6 p.m. May 17. The event will give people a chance to tour 12 downtown buildings that include a variety of living space, including luxury apartments, "green" condos and live/work space designed for artists and entrepreneurs.

Tickets cost $10 in advance, $12 on the day of the event. The Downtown Committee of Syracuse, which sponsors the event, will provide online ticket sales soon. (Check at www.downtownsyracuse.com.) For those who can't wait, mail a check, payable to the organization, to 109 S. Warren St., Suite 1900, Syracuse, NY 13202.

The Greater Syracuse Association of Realtors hopes to see you at both events. There will be a number of Realtors available to answer your housing realated questions. Plus, make sure you visit the dozens of area open houses that will be open the day of both events!
